Ezra Jack è un cantante soul-blues alle prese con un difficile periodo di crisi creativa. Sottoposto alle pressioni del suo discografico, che lo esorta a rinchiudersi in sala di registrazione, Ezra fugge dal dovere, provando a trovare conforto nell'abbraccio materno della propria terra. L'uomo vive a Memphis, città decadente e immersa nella musica. È qui che Ezra spera di portare a compimento la propria rinascita, ritrovando la gioia della creazione.

Tim Sutton vive a Brooklyn, dove lavora come regista, sceneggiatore e docente. Con Pavilion (2012) ha esordito alla regia senza più fermarsi. In seguito ha infatti diretto ben sei lungometraggi presentati in concorso nei più importanti festival nordamericani ed europei ricevendo numerosi riconoscimenti: Memphis (2013), Dark Night (2016), Donnybrook (2018), Funny Face (2020), The Last Son (2021) e Taurus (2022).

 

Ezra Jack is a soul-blues singer struggling with a difficult period of creative crisis. Under pressure from his record company, who urges him to lock himself in the recording studio, Ezra runs away from duty, trying to find comfort in the maternal embrace of his homeland. The man lives in Memphis, a decadent city immersed in music. It is here where Ezra hopes to complete his rebirth, rediscovering the joy of creation.

Tim Sutton lives in Brooklyn, where he works as a director, screenwriter and teacher. With Pavilion (2012) he made his directorial debut and then he has never stopped. He has since directed six feature films presented in competition at the most important North American and European festivals, receiving numerous awards: Memphis (2013), Dark Night (2016), Donnybrook (2018), Funny Face (2020), The Last Son (2021) and Taurus (2022).
